From February 15th and 16th…
More progress on Abbi’s room…..this took a long time but has turned out so cute!
Our new fridge was delivered from Lowes. It was on sale with a rebate and a coupon for 10% off from my parents, so we decided to splurge on a new fridge and sell our 9 year old one with the “old house”. It is huge, but we plan to re-do and rearrange the kitchen anyway, so we bought for the future.
That Friday night we went to Waffle House for dinner. Every time I’m there I remember that IHOP is so much better (and cleaner. Especially the bathrooms. Ugh.) I’m certain I must be getting old now, but I just don’t think I can do Waffle House anymore. Watching someone clean the floor with a hose is just not right.
We headed to Target afterwards. I love, love, love having a Target 2 miles from our house now. We needed a birthday present for one of Lilli’s friends, but she came running back with this Star Wars book saying “This is the scariest book I’ve never seen.” But she’s still captivated by it. Some of the kids in her class have started seeing Star Wars so it’s on her brain.
Just a normal Friday night in our house Abbi – get used to all the dress up clothes.
Saturday morning sisters…
Our friends Adam and Julia brought us Chic Fil A lunch and a frozen lasagna for later that day. So good!!! And of course Lilli was excited to see Ella Kate “Roses”. It seems like just the other day we were bringing them lunch and meeting her!!
One of the things they wanted to do while they were here was having Ella give Abbi her old pacifiers, since she’s a “big girl” now.
Abbi looks less than thrilled….
It seems to have worked and Ella is pacifier free now! Our own method was planting Lilli’s pacifiers in the back yard and having candy grow in it’s place
When Lilli was asking us about it later and we were telling her how she gave up pacifiers she asked if she could go plant Abbi’s in the yard and get some suckers. Um, no, we kind of need those for a while still!!
It was so great of Adam and Julia to bring us lunch and come see the new house! And we’re so proud of EK for being such a big girl now. Of course we did joke about wrapping them back up for her 2nd birthday party the following weekend…..
