Considering she is closer to three months than two months at this point, I definitely need to get my two month post done. These pictures were taken on her two month birthday on March 18th though!
Abbi at birth: 6 lbs, 1 ounce:
Abbi at one month – estimated 8 lbs 4 ounces:
Abbi at two months – she had shots about two weeks before her 2-month birthday and she weighed in at 9 lbs, 3 ounces (20th percentile) length was 15th percentile and head was 51st percentile. I would guess that at two months she was probably about 10 pounds.
Abbi – at two months you are a good little baby! The best measuring stick is sleeping through the night and you were sleeping from about 10:30 or so until 8 am, so that’s a win in our books! Since we were in the big transition between houses you were still in the pack and play in our room, so we were all waking up a few times in the night due to way too many people sleeping in one room.
You wore mostly newborn size clothes, with some 0-3 months fitting you pretty good as you started outgrowing a few little things. Size 1 diapers, and I think we’ll be in them for a while. And still eating roughly every 3-4 hours during the day. You typically take a great morning nap and don’t typically wake up much for the day until around 12 or 1 oclock. From there on out you just take short cat naps and sometimes eat every 2-3 hours which can be a bit exhausting but we’ll take the great night time sleeping as a fair trade.
You have lots and lots of smiles and are usually happy to go to anyone you see. This second month hasn’t been as monumental as the first, but you did go to church for the first time and really started getting out and about in social situations and thankfully we avoided the flu and all the other bugs that floated around this winter. You also had your first St Patricks day and went to a few birthday parties. And we had a bit of snow!
Lilli and Abbi: Side by side at two months (Lilli on the right), similar but different.
You guys are definitely siblings, but each of you are certainly your own person. I think Lilli was definitely fussier, but we already knew to look for lactose insensitivity so I think that has saved us some worries and issues with Abbi. While Lilli always responded to the sound of the hairdryer to calm down and fall asleep like a charm (it was parked next to her for numerous hours the first few months….), the hair dryer completely offends Abbi and is definitely something we avoid using near her. Lilli hated being in the car at all, but Abbi doesn’t mind it as long as you are going interstate speeds. Never go slow, ever. Red lights are our enemy. Lilli would never nap in a car seat, but if the stars align sometimes Abbi will sleep in hers for about 3 hours. Both of you guys love the swing and the vibratey seat.
Happy Two Months Abbi!!
